Spring into Object

Spring is just around the corner and you’re keen beans for it to arrive (what’s not to like about a new season wardrobe, fresh picked flowers and spring racing). It also heralds a hot list of to do’s from Object’s Spring Series experimental program.

Here’s our top picks:

Pop-up Alphabet Co-op Shop – For two days only you can find an eclectic range of jewellery, art objects and design items for sale, all of which relate in some way to letters in the English alphabet.

The Stereotyped: Sound & Typography exhibition – Explore how typeface and sound create meaning in our everyday lives. Artists and artist studio collectives featuring include Stephen Banham, James Cecil, David Chesworth, Amanda Cole, Future Classic, Gemma O’Brien, Tin & Ed and Jared Underwood.

Audio Design Museum – Your city is your exhibition space. Download The Audio Design Museum’s audio tours onto your mp3 player or iPhone and hear designers tell their story as you pound the pavement. Choose from either the Surry Hills and Darlinghurst, or Paddington precinct tours, or a furniture focused outing.

We Craft This City – Knit, weave, loop and craft your way through. For one week Object gallery turns into a live DIY space. Workshops for creative souls (or those that are seeking such status). Produced by Kate Ford, We Craft This City.

Spring to it.
