Shewry fronts Whitsundays foodie affair

An unsurpassed culinary weekend in what some would call paradise, hosted by Ben Shewry from Melbourne’s acclaimed Attica restaurant… hmmm, no it doesn’t get any better than this.

The exclusive two-day sojourn is part of the Great Barrier Feast series and gives you the chance to meld fine food and wine in a coveted world-class setting.

The location is Qualia (kwah-lee-ah), a sun-drenched haven on the most northern tip of Hamilton Island, renowned for its proximity to the reef (right on its doorstep), serenity and post-stay sublime effect.

Here, lap up spa treatments, open-air yoga and the meditation pavilion – the mesmerising calmness will have you begging for more.

During the fest Shewry will run the Electrolux Master Class, here he’ll share his brilliance, skills and secrets; a Veuve Clicquot-paired lunch will follow; and a showpiece degustation dinner with a live camera link-up of all the behind-the-scenes action, will conclude. If that isn’t enough, wine critic James Halliday will personally construct the beverage list for the entire weekend.

If you’re beginning to think a mini-break from end-of-year madness is definitely in order, then pack your bags for a weekend in sunny Queensland and recharge with a food feast that’s set to tantalise more than your taste buds.
