Paleo Fast Food Hits Westfield Sydney

THR1VE Paleo is the new buzzword on everyone’s lips and the results are on their well trimmed hips. But what does it mean?

No it’s not about foraging for your food like a caveman or eating meat, meat and more meat. Yes, it is heavily protein based, but you can still have a balanced diet.

So are we suggesting you cook up a chicken breast to take into work every day? God no. For that, there’s Sydney’s Paleo-to-go fast food option, THR1VE.

Fast food Paleo. It’s been here since 2012 when the first THR1VE opened up in the MLC Centre, and due to popular demand, another THR1VE opens tomorrow morning in Westfield Sydney.

Next to the hot dogs, dumplings and giant sandwiches, THR1VE is going to bring a healthy boost to the busy food court with breakfast, lunch and signature smoothies.

Go straight from the gym to THR1VE for breakfast eggs – whether you want whites only, yolk only, three whites and one yolk, they can do it. Coeliacs will go nuts for the gluten-free oats; THR1VE ships them in from America. Have them with the almond milk made fresh in-house each day, or you can add in some normal dairy.

THR1VE is Paleo-inspired, they still serve dairy, and have a relaxed approach to non-processed, wholefood eating. And yes, you can still have a few treats. There are Paleo pancakes on the menu.

We love their lunch bowls – choose your base from greens, brown rice or sweet potato mash, your meat, char-grilled chicken, shredded pork, pulled beef or a hearty veggie salad, and you’ve got a meal that will keep you going for the day. The protein portions are slightly higher than your average salad so you’re less likely to get those afternoon tea cravings.

And if you do need a sweet hit, swap the chocolate bar for a smoothie. THR1VE’s salted caramel smoothies are a big hit. Dates, banana, sea salt and cashew butter. Guilt-free and delicious.
