‘Treat every guest like they are your mother (only without the kisses)’. Well sums up the reception you can expect from Chef Alex Kearn’s newest culinary venture, Neutral Bay Bar and Dining.
 
After achieving success with debut restaurant Glebe Point Diner, the new restaurant on Military Road is bent on promoting simple, honest food and service. For Alex it’s still about a chase for the best produce and keeping it simple. This time, with a focus on creating an approachable and affordable dining hall. “Guests should feel warm, comfortable and welcome – as though it’s their second home and the service will reflect this with professional and personable staff,” explains Alex.

Tailor your dining experience with a cosily packed nine-section menu.  Start with Fried green tomatoes with house ricotta & balsamic or Charcuterie board. For main we’re enamoured with Duck leg confit, sautéed sprouts and spiced carrot. From the Grill; Coorong Angus grass fed steaks served with horseradish or eschallot sauce, or from the sea; Whole N.Z Snapper with sorrel salad.

We would never deny a pick from the Sweets, but if you’re stomach just can’t handle a full serve you can opt for a Small Treat (think Lemon jubes or Ricotta & mandarin peel canola).
