Kitchen table for eight

Whether you’re a Michelin star chef in the making or your local Thai take-away is on speed dial, food lovers of all sorts will marvel at a view in to the frenetic manoeuvrings of one of Sydney’s most well-regarded kitchens.

ARIA restaurant has a kitchen dining experience usually found only in overseas acclaimed restaurants – start with the likes of New York’s Cafe Gray or Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s in London. Built within the main kitchen and custom-designed by Architect Alexander Tzannes, the Kitchen Table was created to serve as an observation platform for eight providential diners enjoying a lunch or dinner service.

Your $300.00 per person culinary adventure begins with a welcome at the bar with champagne and canapés before being seated at the Kitchen Table. Once the curtains are raised, the theatrical workings of a dynamic kitchen literally unveil before you.

Dedicated wait staff will guide you through the events of the service, as will your chef (hopefully yours will feature co-owner and respected chef Matthew Moran). As your chef prepares your specially designed menu you can learn some of their secrets. Tips on choosing the best seasonal produce, or intimate insights about the menu and its preparation are typically served along with Moran’s signature dishes and matching wines, drawn from the restaurant’s 700-strong and award winning wine list.

The Kitchen Table experience costs $300.00 per person including an eight course tasting menu with matching wines or a premium menu at $425.00 per person. Bookings are made for groups of eight and available for lunch Monday to Friday and for dinner Monday to Sunday.
