Down by the boardwalk

New ripples restaurant opens
What happens when you drop a restaurant into a new prime harbour side locale? Just opened ripples at Sydney Wharf tests the effect.

The first drop begins with husband and wife team Grant and Yvette Andronicus (of coffee fame) backed by Bill Drakopoulos, owner of sister restaurants ripples at Milsons Point and ripples at Chowder Bay.

Spread out on the docks of the newly constructed Sydney Wharf precinct in Pyrmont the establishment offers Al fresco dining three meals a day, any day of the week. Head Chef, Richard Park serves Bistro Fare with a French twist.

There’s ripple’s famous fish and chips, or a menu of fancier picks including Duck leg confit served with frisee salad, hazelnuts and a seeded mustard dressing, or Roast Gold Band Snapper on a fresh pea, parsley and lemon risotto.

With seating for up to 60 guests the Sydney Koh designed open air restaurant is housed under a modern glass structure including an open plan kitchen.  If seeking a more casual fare pull up a stool alongside the 20 metre marble bar.

The ripples effect; where waterfront amiably meets stomach content.
