Bacchanalia ahoy

NSW Wine Festival touches down in Sydney

The Greek Gods knew a thing or two about throwing a party. Key ingredients: food, wine and women.

Don your sandals (or ‘mandals’, as the case may be) and scamper into the wilds of Hyde Park for a taste of NSW’s finest at Sydney Cellar Door on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February.

With tastings on offer from more than 100 local winemakers including Audrey Wilkinson, Bimbadgen, Logan and Brokenwood, you’re guaranteed a mixed goodie bag of varietals and climatic styles.

To offset the wine-o-licious delirium, there will also be a feast of foodie choices from the wunderkinds at Cotton Duck, Bodega and Porteno, Baroque Bistro and Chat Thai.

When it’s time for a little rest, why not lie back on the lawn and lap up the jazzy vocal stylings of Emma Pask and The Strides.

Keep the vibe going until March 31st by enjoying locavore lunches and dinners + glass of premium NSW wine deals for under $50 at Sydney’s top restaurants (all listed in the SMH Good Food Guide) or enlist your tastebuds for a Tour of the Regions dinner at Buon Ricordo, Restaurant Arras, Pilu at Freshwater or Marque.

Cheers to that!
