The Royal Botanic Runway

RBR_MartinGrantFashion and nature. What a beautiful pairing. These two will come together on Thursday January 30 at Guilfoyle’s Volcano in Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens as The Royal Botanic Runway showcases some of Australians most iconic fashion labels. Think Aurelio Costarella, Collette Dinnigan, Martin Grant, and Akira Isogawa.

This unique show has been created by Event Gallery’s Geraldine Frater-Wyeth and philanthropist David Shelmerdine. So while fashion is front and centre, The Royal Botanic Runway is also getting serious about conservation, water management and climate.

All of the proceeds from the event will go towards raising $3.5 million to drought-proof the gardens and eliminate the need to irrigate with increasingly valuable drinking water. With the gardens being such a large part of the city’s identity, the conservation of them in an environmentally safe way is a big deal.

General admission, Moonlight Packages (includes tickets to the cinema following the show), VIP runways seats and Donor Box and Premium Donor Seats are all available for the event.

With the starry skies of Melbourne as the setting for this show, we can only guess it’s going to be sublimely botanical and beautiful.
