The Night Noodle Markets Are Back!

RESIZEOctober! It’s finally here, that glorious time of the year when the days are long and Hyde Park is taken over by dumplings and Danish pancakes.

The Good Food Month Night Noodle Markets is back again and you know what that means. Bring on Din Tai Fung dumplings, Mamak roti and Chat Thai sticky rice.

This year there’ll be 50 stores, with all your old favourites and some fab newcomers too. We’re already taking bets that Melbourne’s Wonderbao stall will have plenty of people queuing up for their melt-in-your-mouth buns. Other newbies include Harajuku Gyoza and Asia Dogs. If you haven’t tried them in Melbourne, put down your mouse and make a beeline for Hyde Park now.

After a three year hiatus, the gang from Gelato Messina are back, serving Pot Luck Pies. You’ll be able to pick from one of four pies (or go on, get them all) at their Lucky Fortune Bar. Think ice cream sundaes with an Asian twist.

Given that more than 200,000 people lined up for food last year, we’re expecting this year to be no less busy. The difference is you won’t need to fight it out for a table or eat your arm off waiting in line. Citibank customers will have access to the #CitiVIP zone – home to the Citi Concierge Team. They’ll be taking orders and lining up in the queues for you. Sounds like a win win to us!

The Night Noodle Markets will run every evening from tonight until 26th October – opening for the first time on Sunday afternoons. Never has there been a better reason to leave work early!
