Go Naked Foods. Go Nuts.

Naked FoodsNaked Food. You might ask if this is some new kind of mindfulness method where you picture yourself naked every time you’re after a sweet treat. Put down the donut!

Or is that just where our brain takes you? Whatever comes to mind, it probably isn’t what Naked Foods is offering.

Naked Foods Organic Health Foods has opened up a new store in Bondi Junction and no, the staff aren’t naked, but their store is.

Naked Foods is all about clean eating, minimal waste and maximum taste. Gone is the fancy outfit and instead the space is taken up with tubs of natural organic ingredients. Before you start thinking of that weird co-op you used to frequent in your uni days when you bought rice by the barrel, think again.

This is bulk buying at its best – grab a few paper bags, a pencil and scoop to your hearts delight. Just scribble the tub number on your bag and the staff weigh everything at the end.

After some nuts to nibble on? Go nuts – literally – raw, organic, mixed, organic, roasted, chocolate coated cashews, macadamias, almonds, hazelnuts. You get the gist.

There’s nine types of muesli, organic coconut sugar, spice mix, salad mix, chamomile flower, Himalayan salt, pasta, lentils, quinoa (red, black and white), spelt flour, rye flour, bakers flour, unbleached flour, wholemeal flour. Like we said, go nuts.

Naked Foods sources their stock from around the world – the list of origin countries is almost as long as the list of ingredients they stock. Peru, Australia, Turkey, Canada, USA, Mexico, South Africa, Sri Lanka, China, Iran, Bolivia, Argentina and Ecuador.

And no, it’s not all mung beans and brazil nuts. There’s a suitably satisfying chocolate section! According to the friendly staff, no one leaves without a visit to the tubs filled with chocolate covered nuts, peppermint fudge, cherry slice, licorice, ginger and more.

Like we said. Go nuts (naked optional)!
