New York New York

The Grand Social & Daily Addict NY Fashion Week Collaboration
It’s almost unheard of, the fashion elite camping out for days on end under tents – unless of course, those are the Tents of Bryant Park, home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Whilst we wanted to whisk you away to New York, alas, our budget wouldn’t stretch so far. Rather intent on taking you into fashion’s inner sanctum, we’ve instead asked the cracking team at The Grand Social to be Daily Addict’s guest editor this week – straight from the Big Apple.

More than 60 designers will showcase their 2010 Spring Collections, including Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez, Jason Wu, Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler, L’Wren Scott, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Ralph Lauren and Karen Walker. Our very own WillowToni Maticevski and Michael Angel will be proudly representing Team Oz.

We’ll be getting daily reports on the Collaborations, the Sets, the Make-up and the Hair. The best of the Runway looks and how to re-create them. A look into where to be seen, Who’s Who and what’s happening at the Parties. Get your teeth straight into Day 1’s news here

Day 2
Big trends (think asymmetrical neckline) hot off the New York runways so you can be one step ahead of everyone this summer, prohibition drinks in the Lower East Side and Odin – a man’s store with a brilliant mix of tailored classics with some truly unique finds.

Day 3
How to wear the casual blazer, where to squeeze in the best shopping in between shows far from mad crowds, hot looks off the street and on the runway.

Day 4
Ruffles from Marc Jacobs, Toni Maticevski, Karen Walker and Willow. How to dine like a local on authentic Mexican food, and why the ACE hotel really is ACE.

Day 5
It’s a wrap!

We heart NYC. We heart The Grand Social – the marketplace for Australian and New Zealand designers.
