Baroque music

Sounds like a feast

If you like to think outside the usual construct of ‘dinner and a movie’, here’s some food for thought: French bistro Baroque has just announced a series of dinners where seasonal produce will be set to, er, seasonal music.

More specifically, we’re talking about Baroque (geddit?) composer Vivaldi’s iconic violin concerto masterpiece, The Four Seasons.

For two nights (Tuesday 31 May and Wednesday 1 June), Baroque presents a food slash music experience that encompasses fine music, food and wine (and really, what more is there?).

Taking cues from the four concertos, each dish created by chef Peter Robertson and pâtissier Jean-Michel Raynaud will present the height of seasonal produce, encapsulating the essence and beauty of winter.

Accompanied by the Sydney Youth Orchestra, it’s an evening that definitively sounds too good.
