A blizzard of snowy fun coming to the Greenwood Hotel, North Sydney

We’re strapping on our skis and donning bobble hats ready for an avalanche of events at Snow Fest 2025, at the Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney, Friday 27 June-Sunday 6 July. From a toboggan slide, street hockey and Mario Kart Snowdown to Canadian delicacies and a Winter Wonderland with real snow, it’s a chance to cheer up amid the chilly Sydney winter.

Oh Canada!

The event kicks off with a Canadian-themed party from 2pm-1am on Saturday 28th June. It’s free entry for kids with family-friendly fun up to 7pm. For adults entry is %10 before 4pm and $15 after 4pm if you’re dressed “Canadian” (we’re told this is “flannel shirts, hockey gear or festive attire”). Attractions include a street hockey tournament, snow zones and the chance to win a trip to Canada.

Winter Night Markets

For five evenings, the Greenwood Hotel Plaza is hosting Winter Night Markets (30 June-4 July) with local stalls featuring fashion, art, homewares and more. If you’re celebrating Yulefest – or just want to be the world’s earliest bird for Christmas in sixth month’s time – this could be a great chance to grab a gift.

Music and dancing

Warm up with some retro disco grooving as Snow Fall takes over the Greenwood, celebrating the late 1990s and early 2000s. DJs include Tommy Trash, John Course, Groove Terminator, Kid Kenobi, Mark Dynamix, Rob Kay (Cabin Crew) and Discovery (Daft Punk tribute). Greenwood’s usual Tuesday line dancing class is also going Canadian with a free Shania Twain special on 1st July – Let’s Go Girls!

The snowy fun melts away on Sunday 6 July with the Spirit of House day-to-night dance party featuring Soul of Sydney DJs, Fallen Disco, Phil Toke, Adrian Benedek and RSF.

Snow Fest 2025 takes place at the Greenwood Hotel and Greenwood Plaza, North Sydney, from Friday 27 June-Sunday 6 July. For a full list of events, visit https://greenwoodhotel.com/snow-festival/
