SpinStar Opens in Prahran

Spin-Star-group-fitness15Did you know that a spin class can burn the amount of calories that’s in a Huxtaburger? Where do you sign up, right? Well, SpinStar in Prahran has just opened the doors to a beautiful dedicated cycle studio. Pam Meyerowitz, the founder and owner of SpinStar, seems to have found her feet. Her energy alone is contagious. Which is helpful, as you’ll need as much as you can get.

To help you along the way, motivating and educated instructors will guide you through each track, which are perfectly chosen to sit with the recommended RPM (genius, right?). Instructors have decades of classes between them, some with Triathlon wins under their belts, others with Physical Education degrees to their name.

There’s also a stunning green forest plastered up on the wall in front of you creating the illusion you’re riding through the trees. Three images photo shopped together create the beautiful illusion.  Jason Wehbe from Paper Scissors Glue is the one to thank for that. The green and grey interior, dotted with Oriented Strand Board hand crafted furniture finishes the look.

The studio is fit with 23 brand new Keiser M3+ bikes, on site showers, and water and coconut water available to dull the thirst. Classes range from beginners, where you’ll learn how to make your bike work for you, right up to the cycle class which is high intensity cardio and will have your heart pumping. You can also reserve your bike when you book your class (no lock in contracts, just class packs and monthly memberships). This means no arriving 20 minutes early to secure your perfect spot.

We’ll see you in the forest.
