I can safely say my pup adored the Buddy & Belle Pet Car Seat Double. As soon as I had set it up in the living room, zipping in the liner, she kept jumping in it and taking a toy in with her. And then she kept whimpering as she couldn’t figure out how to jump out again. Eventually I put it on its side and she loved it so much she went and sat it in cave-style. The lining is reversible – we chose to zip it fleece-side up as it’s getting chillier in Sydney, but you can also zip it the other way round for a cooler lining in summer. Zipping it up was a breeze – I often fumble with zips, but this was well made and fastened and zipped easily all around the edges.
Design and build quality
The pup was just as happy with it in the car, calm and comfortable – albeit considerably less impressed by the bonnet bought for her at the Sydney Dachshund Festival. The Buddy & Belle Pet Car Seat Double sits easily across the back seat of a car and has built-in safety straps attach to dog’s harness providing better protection. Everything feels very high quality and robust. In terms of design it’s super smart and stylish, in a deep charcoal grey with black trim, and there are two front pockets to store treats and toys. (That said there’s no point storing treats anywhere in reach of a dachshund – she’d nose them out within seconds).
Comfort and support
Sadly she didn’t get to enjoy it for long. The Buddy & Belle Pet Car Seat Double is designed for two dogs, so was destined for two pup-friends of hers. These two also adored the car seat, one of them even choosing to sleep in it rather than his crate. In the car it was the perfect space and comfort for two mini dachshunds. Any two toy or small breed dogs should fit well in it, or you could put a single medium dog inside. You’d probably struggle to get a Great Dane or a Bernese Mountain Dog in it though!
What We’re ADDICTED To? It’s a super comfortable and safe dog travel carrier that’s easy to set up and fold away, and the reversible, removable lining makes it easy to wash if accidents happen or hairy pups shed.
What We Need To Be More ADDICTED? Being able to buy it in other colours would be a fun option.
