As You Dreamt It

Most dreams are just plain weird, and can usually be interpreted as a psychological rejection of that leftover curry you ate just before slipping into bed.

Recurring dreams are slightly more disconcerting.

It’s the latter that this unique Sydney exhibition seeks to explore. Calling upon a few daring lensmen to bring those most private and elusive thoughts out of the dark and on to the stark gallery walls, As You Dream It delves into the dreamer’s mind to recreate their latent visions exactly as they were first experienced.

Take advantage of this rare invitation to peer into the sleeping minds of others and discover the hidden meaning behind recurring visions of rollerblading zombies, Tony Bennett or hands made of lettuce (if you’ve ever YouTubed “Salad Fingers” while lying awake late at night you’ll know the latter is more traumatic than it sounds).

Prefer to peek into the keyhole of your own subconscious? Consult the on-site Dream Doctor for a private interpretation session.

Then maybe try to cut down on post-midnight snacks and post-apocalyptic Flash cartoons.
