Human Mobile Devices (HMD) – Flip 2660

Do you remember life before smartphones? Before we were addicted to our screens? Human Mobile Devices (HMD) is a new brand brought to us by the Nokia folks, has just launched an antidote to doom scrolling with a nostalgic touch. The HMD Flip 2660. You can make calls, there is a camera function but forget emails and social media.Â
Its actually perfect for aging parents or young kids who need large buttons and minimal functions to stop from getting lost. It actually took me quite a bit of time to get used to the old ways of navigating a screen with a ‘back/forward/select’ function which drove me nuts at first. With a bit of practice adding numbers to the phone, saving them and being able to bring them up quickly started to get easier. Texting requires a new art of selecting ‘1’ for abc and using the navigation to scroll down to pick rather than tapping fast three times to get ‘c’. I tried the phone with my parents who find smartphones very confusing and they found it fairly simple to use after a bit of practice. Buy at HB Hifi $129

Workout Meals – New Airfyrer Range

Tomi Jurlina, co-founder of Workout Meals has created new air fryer range and sales are going gang busters having delivered to over 3000 locations in NSW, QLD and Victoria. Ours arrived this week on our doorstep! There is no meal prep and I was able to create my own pack from their other ranges such as muscle meals, low-calorie packs to create my perfect meal plan for the week. There are 8 new chef prepared meals. I like they are in heat-safe, eco-friendly sugarcane packaging so I don’t suffere from 3rd degree burns after a 15 min cook. Southern fried chicken with mac n cheese was my favourite, the crumbed chicken crisps up beuatifully in the airfyer and the mac n cheese got a bronzed glow. Other packs I liked included a breakfast cheese pesto omlette and shashluka. Throw in a salad, protein bar and even a lentil soup and the options for high protein low fat and now fuss are endless.
Bubble Me Mini Melts Sorbet Balls – Three new flavours

The Australian crew that brought us bubble teas, jelly, lollies on a stick and more has used cutting edge flash freezing tech to create new sorbet balls and they are packed with flavour. It might be cold outside but if you are looking for a desert on the lighter side these new balls are for you. We bought our Sorbet Balls in Woolies. They are dairy-free, gluten-free and free from artificial colours. I like that the spheres are bite-sized which means they are very snackable and the coating makes them easy to pick up. My favourite was mango but there is also grape and Kiwi to enjoy.
Winter Warmers for the home
UGG BOOTS – The EVERAU Nala Fluffy Slide

With the cooler months upon us, the range of slippers and winter boots at UGG Express are a heavenly addition for keeping your feet warm and dry. We tried The EVERAU Nala Fluffy Slide and have to say they’re so warm and comfortable, that my feet feel like they’re cozily wrapped in a soft blanket. They look good whether you’re lounging at home or grabbing your go-to coffee. The Australian Shepherd Stormy Mini Woven Ankle Boots are effortlessly stylish—perfect for pairing with your favourite jeans or slipping on after a long day on the mountain. After wearing these on a cold, blustery evening, we can confidently say they delivered on that ‘snug as a bug’ feeling and have quickly become a favourite staple in the wardrobe.
