Cider, Sunshine and the Long Weekend Festival

Watsons Bay Cider Festival

The October long weekend is just around the corner – that one extra day takes a normal weekend to a whole other level. The last thing you want to do is waste it.

This year we’re heading to Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel for a Cider Festival. The three day event kicks off on Saturday 4th October and is designed to give you more than just a taste of the drink to drink this summer.

From bobbing for apples to a cider tasting trail, Watsons Bay will be brimming with all things cider. On Sunday afternoon, the Cider Trail will take over a section of Military Road. Follow the tasting stalls right down to the Watsons Bay Hotel, where the Cider pop-up bar awaits. A long weekend does require a fair bit of stamina, so Watsons Bay Hotel has kindly put together a Cider Festival Passport.

Kind of like a golden ticket, the passport gives you access to cider tastings and food pairings. From paella to pork sliders, the team will be whipping up treats to match the different ciders on offer.

Cider fans will be glad to hear that the lineup includes big names and boutique ones, from Bilpin Cider Co to the kiwi cider makers Rochdale. The Beach Club will have DJs, live music and even apple bobbing competitions so you can bring the whole family and settle in for a serious cider session.
