Sydney’s most stylish Fashion High Tea

Fashion High TeaCalling all lovers of fashion and fondant! Sheraton on the Park has just launched its Fashion High Tea – forget cucumber sandwiches and plain old fruit tarts.

Now you can nibble on truffled high heels and strawberry cream purses, in this decadent and delicious nod to the fashion world.

Hosted in The Gallery Tea Lounge, the hotel’s chic lobby bar area, this high tea is more than a little fabulous.

All the sweets are made in house – with the pastry chefs hard at work whipping up treats that are almost too cute to eat. Almost.

The bonnet berry cake literally takes the cake – a wide brim berry-coloured chocolate hat sits atop a scrumptious square of berry cake. Nibble on the brim before tucking into the cake underneath.

This is high tea, so there are savouries and scones too. Expect a mini croissant filled with smoked ham, swiss cheese and grain mustard, and a great posh version of the ham and cheese sandwich.

The scones are superb and of course, there’s a choice of handcrafted teas, Lindt hot chocolate and coffee too.

Fashion High Tea

While you’re tasting mini carrot cake pops and lemon cupcakes, add a glass of sparkling or Moet, because whenever the French are involved in fashion, the combination is always good.

The Fashion High Tea is available seven days a week – on weekends the hotel hosts a high tea buffet but the tea stand can still be ordered.

Lisa used to use Sydney as a base to drop off souvenirs before heading off on the next adventure but these days she’s got her feet almost on the ground, with a desire to try every high tea in Sydney, and a cute cavoodle puppy at home. Travel writer, photographer and Kitchen Aid freak, she loves to eat, bake and write.
