Napoleon Perdis Life.Style

A fabulous makeover isn’t just about freshening up the exterior.

You mightn’t think this to be the mantra of makeup tycoon Napoleon Perdis, but his latest venture is more than skin deep.

The lucky new client is the old Woollahra Post Office, but the 1905 heritage building’s fine bones have been left largely untouched.

It’s through the brick arches that you’ll find a glossy showcase of Napoleon’s opulently eclectic aesthetic. Under intricate gilded ceilings sit carefully curated fashion, furniture and art finds ranging from handmade Plexiglas jewellery to vintage Christian Dior silk scarves refashioned as cushions.

Brands exclusive to Napoleon Perdis Life.Style include Thale Blanc (Luxe accessories and leather goods from California), Lucas Jack (Modernist-inspired fine costume jewelry from London) and Cecile et Jeanne. Artisanal accessories and jewelry from Paris.

If you’re after wares to entertain, seek the shelves for IONIA (fine porcelain dinnerware from Greece) or Klein Reid (Handmade porcelain from New York).

Vintage furniture sourced from all over the world rests on custom-designed carpet by international flooring specialist, InterfaceFlor, the pièce de résistance being a Perspex rocking chair that can be yours for a cool $4500.

If your pockets don’t go quite that deep Napoleon’s signature cosmetics range is available in store too, and in September it will be complemented by an exclusive Ready To Wear offering.

Collecting lamps to lipstick has never been such an experience.
