Major curve ball

Burlesque Ball 2009
“I’ve got some major curves. I’m not a skinny girl”.  You couldn’t agree more if you knew Amber Ray.  Witnessing one of her routines you’d declare; she rather aptly and deftly knows how to use them.

New Yorker, decadent vamp and headliner for The Burlesque Ball this year, she’s new signature routines to dazzle, confront and entertain. Like otherperformers, including Lola LaBelle (LA) and locals Vivi Valentine and Lauren LaRouge, she’s worked on her pieces for months.

Some will be political statements, others empowered acts of undress. In between there’ll be a live big band, cigarette girls and a silent auction for vintage memorabilia.

You’re invited to don your best black, red or burlesque. No place for Cinderellas; you’ll be up way past midnight.

The Burlesque Ball
Sydney – Saturday 14 March, 8pm
The Gaelic Club, 64 Devonshire St Surry Hills
$59 – $79, group tickets available
Also touring Brisbane and Melbourne
