Relax, re-charge, unwind at new Crown Spa

Ever wondered how those mega high rollers are tempted into the poker rooms and private roulette suites at Crown Melbourne? Well apparently it’s not all about the chance of winning the big bucks.

With the newly renovated Crown Spa you can be coaxed (very easily) into six hours straight of being pampered and perfectly pummelled. This new wonder spa is the place to re-stock your mojo in between games (and between everyday work for the rest of us who don’t take a private helicopter to go to the corner shop).

Here, amongst the designs of architect and interior designer Michael Fiebrich’s soothing palette of pale blues, greens and neutral tones inspired by nature, you undress to be impressed. Take a swim in the massive vitality pool and then try not to look star struck as you slink into the private jacuzzi, hammam steam room and deluge shower alongside celebrities and international big hitters.

The new La Prairie spa menu reads a little like a fine dining entree. May we suggest the exclusive treatment to Crown Spa, La Prairie’s White Caviar Illuminating facial for 90 minutes of luxe leaving your skin visibly tighter and brighter. Two is better than one, and that applies to the Platinum Rare Facial where two therapists apply a facial using the high performance Platinum Collection by La Prairie to restore and re-energise.

You’ll struggle to choose between the therapeutic massages on offer including relaxation, hot stone and deep tissue. The ”Crown Spa Ultimate Package’ will pamper you head to toe for $850.

Re-charge, relax and fit in some discreet people watching – it’s never been quite so revealing.
