“Being healthy isn’t just about eating right.” That’s the philosophy that runs through the veins of the newest wellness hub in Yarraville, Heal.Thy Co. When we say wellness hub, we mean café, nutrition and naturopath appointments, a health and wellbeing blog, and recipes to make at home. Founder Electra Tomasino and partner Dylan Davies write the blog and run the venue and do so with a belief that health is about more than food, it’s about the choices you make everyday. And of course that the local community is as important as it ever has been.

Let’s start with the food. Supplied by grocer Plump Organic next door, the produce is always fresh and organic. Toast looks like gluten free bread smothered in choc, nut, and seed butter topped with slices of banana, honey, and cinnamon. While the ever-trendy acai bowl is on the menu, and done well, there are other ‘super’ bowls as well like the cheeky choc chia parfait, a combination of chia mousse and chia pudding, berries, crunchy activated buckinis, and coconut yoghurt. If you’re a savoury seeker you can go for the roast vegetable tomato sandwich or one of the daily salads.

The drinks list is health on steroids. Coffee with almond milk of course, Dandelion, wattleseed, and cinnamon with oat milk, Storm in a Teacup teas, homemade kombucha, and a killer smoothie list. For something with a real kick go for the Be Awkward – double shot of espresso, banana, mesquite, cinnamon, raw vanilla fermented protein powder, and house-made almond milk.

After you’ve filled up on nutritious bites you can head over to the consulting rooms for a nutritionist, naturopath, psychologist, or even health coach appointment.

The space reflects the philosophy; bright, light, and comforting. A health hub that looks the part.
