Wine Tasting Like Never Before

The experience of wine is sensory. It begins with a pop, sip and clink. Laughter, warmth in the limbs, and that delicious light headed feeling that comes with liquid loveliness.

The Blocks is an architectural tribute to wine sense. It has nothing to do with a reality show about renovations – although it is creative. And no one will do battle over soft furnishings – but the design is winning.

Penfolds, the granddaddies of the Australian vine scene, have loaned the kids the bar keys along with their design buddies at Studio Toogood. The result? A specially created sculpture park-meets-science lab that’s a smell, taste and touch adventure.

A trained sommelier will guide you through five pillars of specially designed scent, immerse you in a visual feast of glass cabinets overflowing with artistic curios, and finally hit you with the fancy stuff – Penfolds wines matched with locally foraged seasonal snacks thrown together by their resident Chef Jock Zonfrillo from Magill Estate Restaurant.

Taste (touch, smell, see and hear) wine like never before.
