Lindt Chocolate Concept Cafe Reopens

There are no Oompa Loompas or fizzy lifting drinks, but we’re guessing you’d rather hang out sipping a Lindt Mocha Macchiato than get thrown down a trash chute of bad eggs.

If that sounds like your box of chocolates, step off Martin Place and into an opulent confection playground for sweet toothed grown ups.

Browse shelves of edible icons including Lindt’s infamous Délice macaroons, or stand wide-eyed and wet-chinned at the maître station while a Master Chocolatier whips up decadent treats of every type imaginable. Did someone say taste testing?

And don’t leave without witnessing a true marvel of confectionary dispensation: A chocolate tap — the first in Australia — spins out swirls of the finest flowing dark chocolate, which baristas layer with velvety milk, a perfectly drawn shot of espresso and a Lindt chocolate shard to create a signature brew more intoxicating than any alcoholic libation.

If it’s a special occasion you can even work with the chocolatiers to make prailes, hollow figures and handcrafted slabs complete with engraving.

But don’t wait for a birthday to come around. When it comes to chocolate, all you need is a craving.
