High time

Winter Warmer High Tea at Sir Stamford
If we’re talking about high tea, the new Winter Warmer service at Sir Stamford Circular Quay is where it’s now served at the perfect temperature.

Relax into a wingback chair under the dappled lights of a chandelier. Summon the Tea Master, select your style of Ronnefeldt tea and have a good old fashioned chinwag while the polished waitstaff glide off to fetch your afternoon tea.

Cardamom scented scones arrive, accompanied by King Island Double Cream and warm butterscotch sauce. Petit rosemary and hearty beef pies follow honey roasted pumpkin soup shots, and warm coconut rice puddings with palm sugar syrup vie for gastronomic real estate.  For sweet measure there’s lemon glazed apple strudel and croque monsieur with onion marmalade.

After Afternoon Tea, Afternoon Drink naturally beckons; and so easily when there’s a bar with an open fire next door. A glass of Champagne Sir Stamford or a classic martini?
