Crate Pizza Pop Up

Hustle, hustle, hustle addicts. Gather the troops and make a beeline for Crate Bar & Pizza – Paddo’s new pop up Italian-inspired eatery. Be quick though, it won’t be here this time next year.

Occupying a corner position on Oxford Street near the weekend markets, it’s a no fuss fit-out with a heap of recycled packing crates for tables and chairs, a couple of metal stools and a hoarder’s collection of street posters plastered to the ceiling.

Oxford Street aficionados have three ex-Merivale gents to thank for this lively gem spilling over with loud chatter, louder tunes, and strong smells of all things Italian wafting from its windows.

If breakfast is your calling, you’ll love the Campos Coffee and quinoa porridge or brekkie bruschetta with pesto. When the clock strikes noon, pay a visit to ‘The Boss’ – smokey pork and homemade coleslaw on a rustic Panini. As the sun sets, the pizza oven fires up pumping out solid Italian-style pizzas with everything from the crowd pleasing ‘Margherita’ to the ‘Siciliana’ with tomato, mozzarella, eggplant and pecorino.

Don’t let this pop-up pass you by.
