Bottleneck Bar and Eatery opens in Darlinghurst

It’s all meatballs and marys at Sydney’s newest small bar, Bottleneck. If you’re a loyalist of both, rest assured the balls are meaty and the marys bloody – just the way they should be.

So who do we have to thank for this welcomed addition to our casual eating and drinking scene? None other than Sven Almenning of Speakeasy Group (Eau de Vie and The Roosevelt) – in fact, if you’re a regular at EdV you’ll be pleased to know it’s a mere stumble from your much loved cocktail haven.

Speaking of cocktails, let’s get down to business. Bloody Mary is where the magic’s at and you’ll find it in three forms; House with vodka; Snapper with gin; and Maria with tequila. Slam one of these ladies down and chase with specialty meatballs and you’ll be happier than the stuffed racoon on the bar counter.

Go for a dark moody vibe, good booze, unfussy food and private booths for an exclusive date with Mary.
