A flock of Sydney foodies at the 2023 show

Ever dreamt of supercharging your baking with expert tips and techniques? The Home Cooking Show and Cake, Bake and Sweets Show in Sydney next month has everything from cooking competitions to a baking bonanza. A multitude of talented cooks will be on hand to share their secrets, including celebrity chefs, last year’s MKR winners and Masterchef contestants.

Eats and treats and sweets…

You can make your way through a mesmerising cake maze in the Art of Cake Competition, showcasing Australia’s most talented cake decorators and home bakers. Visitors can bid for the best creations in the Art of Cake auction. Or if you feel confident, visiting home cooks can compete against other cooks at the Flavours of the World stage with a “mystery box challenge”.

Tasting opportunities galore!

But most importantly: free samples! There’s a myriad of tasting opportunities, savoury and sweet, from some of Australia’s best artisan producers. Try creations from from Yummy Cannoli, Sweet Darl’n, The Confectionist, Gotham Donuts, Juicello, Twista Bros, Local Brewing Co, Rewine, Got Cakey and more.

The Home Cooking Show and Cake, Bake and Sweets Show take place from the 27th-29th September 2024, 10am to 5pm, at the ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour General admission starts from $19
