Williams-Sonoma Take Two

You’ve seen the symptoms of an interiors obsessive. Audible gasps at hand-woven rugs, recurring dreams of the ultimate open-plan kitchen.

And while you could spend yet another lazy Sunday stumbling into side-street open homes, you could also spend it in an airy Hamptons house à la Sex and the City Season 2.

Well, almost. Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is now bringing its whole family of high-caliber homeware stores to Sydney’s North Shore. Their four iconic kitchen and home furnishings brands Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm will open stores in Chatswood Chase on Thursday 28th August.

This marks the second set of these Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brands in Sydney; the first opened in Bondi Junction May 2013.

Drop into Pottery Barn for iconic Manhattan leather sofas, custom diamond sisal rugs, and more cosy cable knits than you could poke a piece of driftwood at. Summer doesn’t have to be all crisp and clean. Make sure to drop in on your ritzy neighbours West Elm to compliment their take on “modern Marrakesh” and “urban bungalow.”

And if you need a good incentive to perfect your spring soup game, treat yourself to some copper core cookware from Williams-Sonoma. These are tools simply too good to stack away, so just call this one “insouciant chic.”

All the escapist luxe of a North American getaway, with none of the jet lag.

Need more incentive to shop at one of these four new home hot spots? To celebrate their opening, Williams Sonoma Inc. have partnered with the gelato geniuses at Gelato Messina to create four limited edition gelato creations. Shoppers will get to feast on these frozen treats during the opening on Saturday 30th August. Stop by during their first week of opening and you can also  purchase the Pottery Barn “Welcome Home” gelato in all Messina stores.

The Exclusive Messina Creations

Gelato Messina for Williams-Sonoma

NY Ice Cream Sandwich for West Elm – Brooklyn-inspired fair trade espresso coffee gelato sandwiched between chewy white chocolate & macadamia cookies

Fairy Bread Popsicles for Pottery Barn Kids – Velvety bread and butter gelato is coated in white chocolate ganache then dipped in hundreds and thousands

Gelato Messina for Williams-Sonoma

Welcome Home Gelato for Pottery Barn – Warming and comforting, this lightly spiced apple gelato is fused with an almond crunch and butterscotch swirl

Choc-Chuck Cone for Williams-Sonoma – Reminiscent of Chuck-Williams’ favourite flavour, this handmade waffle cone is filled with creamy Madagascan vanilla gelato then dipped in barry callebaut and 70% cacao chocolate

Are you fans of the Williams-Sonoma Inc. home chains? Or are you more excited about these delectable Messina creations? Which one are you keen to try?
