MBFWA 2014: Ginger & Smart

Ginger & Smart

What everyone is talking about:

The label’s reinvention of texture, Ginger & Smart reveal reptilian French lace in their collection and it has us intrigued, to say the least.

The Collection:

Set in a minimal space with concrete floors and harsh lines, the location let the collection speak for itself as it took full focus. This season Ginger & Smart explore ‘Dualism,’ with a focus on who the Ginger & Smart woman is. She is strong, elegant and modern but there is more to what meets the eye.

The collection plays with the concept of strength and fluidity, clean lines and tailoring are intertwined with lace and flowing pieces. The collection is multi-dimensional with printed fabric, textures and unexpected splashes of colour.

Dressing for every woman for all occasions, pieces that are teamed with flat sandals are ideal for the style conscious woman who is out all day while the lace dresses are your go-to for cocktails with the girls.

The Look:

Nothing is by accident when it comes to this collection and the hair and makeup is no exception. M.A.C Cosmetics keep the face minimal and bare with dark stained lips. This look is our new no-fuss makeup routine on the go with maximum impact.

Redken pair the look with a low ponytail with free-flying pieces to represent the Ginger & Smart woman, she is edgy yet effortlessly elegant.

What we’re addicted to:

Rose gold details. Whether it’s a rose gold ankle strap or a zip, it’s our new favourite way to accessorise with crisp colours and clean lines.
