Want the perfect Arabian Knight? Zeta Bar delivers

Zeta Bar 7You know that things are heating up when we have enjoyed The Australian Open, David Jones v Myer battle for catwalk supermodel supremacy and finally Hilton’s Zeta Bar launches its Summer Bar series.

A great Friday night in town used to end with a lifesaving shish kebab, but prepare yourself for an altogether classier Bedouin experience. Following it’s knock out annual party themes of Farmers Markets and Secret Gardens, pop your heels n’ Aladdin pants this Friday for the launch of what is a knock out Arabian event.

The master of disguise, Zeta transforms into an exotica of billowing muslin leading onto a balcony festooned with Persian rugs, Moroccan lanterns, Turkish cushions and colourful day beds. A sheesha Sommelier helps any hookah pipe virgins to enjoy the delights of puffing on apple or other premium experiences! The bar boys will bow to your pleasures mixing up a storm from your very own DIY spice market and might even throw in flame juggle or two. Cocktail picks are ‘Thousand and One Nights’ involving impressive juggling skills plus a thirst quenching Sumac Sour with a playful blend of Citroen Vodka Yoghurt, dill and cucumber.

No ‘Arabian Night’ is complete without a feast so don’t miss the spicy garlic and tomato prawns mopped up with soft Turkish bread, grilled lamb cutlets smothered with Harissa  on a bed of potato hummus and killer Muhammara sauce spiced with capsicum and walnuts.

So leave your camels at home, bring your Sheesha chic sass and prepare yourself for the ultimate exotic friday night experience which is in town for the next few weeks only.

Arabian Nights at Zeta Bar opens to the public every Friday night from 6.00 p.m., launching Friday 14 February through to Friday 21 March 2014

Karen Lawson

Karen Lawson's corporate job back in the UK had included entertaining clients in some of the best restaurants. This ultimately sparked a curiosity 'Just how do they do that?' (she confesses she was brought up on meat and vegetables, so this was all very exciting). She's the ex MD of Spotify, Peloton and has been a Mr & Mrs Smith 'Tastemaker', she’s flashpacked around the world, learning about wine, experiencing different cultures and cuisines and had a two- year love affair with it all. Originally from England, she's settled in Australia and continues to be besotted by food, wine and travel preferring to focus on the luxury end of town (thread count does matter).
