Pawn and Co

Pawn and Co_heroWhat’s not to love about a bar/restaurant/hock shop that has a menu devoted entirely to balls?

Jamaican chicken and banana, quinoa, whisky-smoked eggplant and soy ball, fish and flaxseed balls – the list of surprising deliciousness comes with a matching shot suggestion (think Johnny with Amaretto and Jack with Messanez apple for an additional $9).

There’s also some mightily considerate menu guidance in the form of DF (dairy free), GF (gluten free) and VG (vegetarian) so even finicky folk can come to grips with the correct snack.

In a kooky homage to its moniker, Pawn and Co has items for sale. Egyptian clay head? Sure thing. Acoustic guitar? Why not. You can order your perfectly prepared cocktail with a side of balls and a taxidermied badger. You can’t say that about every bar in Melbourne.
