Raising the steaks

The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay has a glorious history of rugby viewing, craft beer and hearty meals with a carnivorous bent.

Following a $4 million ‘manscaping’ by interior architect Paul Kelly, the Oaks Bar and Grill is certainly more handsome but underneath its dapper exterior, it’s still red-blooded, hairy and hungry. Think sandstone feature walls, glass, metal, oversize tartan carpets and bentwood chairs. The look is classy with a twist of fashionista; like Hugh Grant at a Paris runway show.

Featuring an in-house specially designed ‘meatorium’, the reinvented Oaks offers patrons the chance to choose their cut and cook it themselves or state your preference to a Chef.

Want to get a first look at this slick new establishment? Rock up on Tuesday August 20th for a Meat Masterclass with butcher to the stars Anthony Puharich from Vic’s Meats in Woollahra. Think three courses of fine meaty fare paired with boisterous wines, a chance to befriend Sydney’s number one meat whisperer and the social kudos that comes from being the first in, best dressed.
