Passion, pasta, primo

You substitute your daily water intake with cups of espresso, know tortellini is not tortelli and can happily watch re-runs of Roman Holiday / The Italian Job. In short, you’re a fan of fine things Italiano and would jump at the chance of visiting the boot-shaped country.

Primo Italiano, part of The Sydney Italian Festival will take you as far our local version of ‘Little Italy’ in East Sydney. Even invite you to an Italian wedding, as one happy couple will be exchanging vows and sharing cake in front of a huge and traditional wedding party on Stanley Street.

A day to browse through the cafés, restaurants and markets offering ‘old country’ fare, hold court with The Godfather entertainers, take a walking tour or compete for the spaghetti eating title.

Primo Italiano
11am-5pm, Sun 24 May 2009
Stanley, Riley and Yurong Streets, East Sydney 2010
