Orto Trading Co opens for breakfast

If you’re one of the many Sydney-siders to have slammed back a breaky at Redfern’s Baffi & Mo (and loved it!) you know all to well what kind of magic can happen before 11am.

And now Louise and Ann, the dream-team behind Baffi & Mo, have jumped ship and opened a new venture in neighbouring Surry Hills.

Orto Trading Co, meaning ‘garden’ in Italian, has been pleasing dinner crowds since opening in April this year – and now the burners are firing up for breakfast (and lunch). Hallelujah!

Everything from the perfectly sized block-colour coffee cups (and ripper coffee) to the ah-mazing house made crumpets with passion fruit curd and fresh ricotta say ‘trust us, we’ve done this before’. And trust them you can.

Sit outside at one of the footpath tables and enjoy a good dose of people watching, or nab a table in the airy courtyard and admire the collection of potted herbs and plants.

Say good morning to your best new breaky haunt.
