MBFWA 2014: Aje

What everyone is talking about:

The Aje duo decided on an installation over a runway this year to allow everyone to have an opportunity to see and appreciate the amount of detail that has gone into the designs.

The Collection:

Inspired by explorer Osa Johnson’s favourite habitat, the African Safari, the collection includes tribal patterns, khaki green leather and heavily embellished clothes. Tough pieces like leather pencil skirts and structured jackets are juxtaposed with light flowing maxi skirts and dresses.

The installation sets the scene for the collection with lounge beds draped with light linen and luxurious tents scattered with feathers, plants and vintage suitcases for decoration. This is how you go glamping (glamourous camping) in the African safari.

The Look:

Make up by Lancôme is inspired by African sun-kissed skin with fresh and luminous skin with blush tones and a focus on bold contouring. Hair is about achieving that effortless vibe, that doesn’t look like it’s been styled, just loose waves with lots of volume. This is your go-to hair for any occasion.

What we’re addicted to:

African Safari décor. Vintage telescopes and leather suitcases paired with printed fabrics and antique trunks, we’re hooked on this look for the home.
