Laduree parlour opens in Sydney

Macaron, je t’aime.  A thousand times je t’aime. Your delicate pastel shell and creamy marshmallow centre causes my heart to race. When I have you in my sight, I can focus on nothing else. I must devour thee.

If you can relate to such macaron passion, you’ve probably already heard of Ladurée – France’s infamous luxury cake and pastry emporium. Inventor of the double-decker macaron. Need we say more?

Take a seat lovers, we have an announcement to make. Ladurée. Has. Landed. In. Sydney.

Put down the lamington, say goodbye to the humble muffin. It’s all about hand crafted Parisian patisserie goodness at Ladurée’s new sugary tea parlour opening today (11 September) in Westfield Sydney.

It’s with arms wide open (insert slow motion run, cue Chariots of Fire) that we run for macaron flavours like cherry blossom, liquorice, lime basil and rose petal. Or morsels like financier biscuits and choc coated candied orange. Or perhaps a scoop of violet ice cream topped with a macaron shell tickles your fancy. There’s even Ladurée tea, jam, honey and candles to take home.

While perusing your beloved sweets, take time to ogle at the beautifully designed Marie Antoinette inspired showroom – admire the chandeliers, pristine glass cabinets and white marble counter.

Let thy love affair begin.
