Get your Bon on

Quick and fresh, new city bites
City goers prepare to recharge, BON a Manger (Bon), Melbourne’s take on London’s renowned ‘Pret A Manger’, has taken up residence at the top of the quaint Hardware Lane and is dishing up quality fresh food fast.

Lunch in the city can sometimes leave you a little less than inspired and with time restraints tighter than any pressing deadline, you often need nourishment and you need it now.

Since December, Bon has answered the call, supplying plenty of rousing replenishment and now with Adrian Polydorou (ex Maze London) at the helm it’s only set to continue.

Petite and polished, the corner café is uber fresh and welcoming. Coffee is a-buzz, as the friendly team pump out delicious Dukes single origin to passers-by and now also table goers.

All fare is market-sourced during the wee hours and made for that day. It’s charmingly pre-packaged (recycled materials of course) and ready for speedy pick-up.

Don’t expect your average sandwich here either; Bon refuels with baguettes, salads and yogurts of a different sort. Try prosciutto pear and blue cheese salad; strawberry and cream cheese baby bon (sandwich); and for brekkie opt for the granola, yoghurt and
passionfruit cup.

The walls are lined with a rotating exhibition of artwork (from Metro Gallery), and with plans to collaborate with emerging artists; this bon (now a wireless hot-spot) could easily become your city abode.
