Carhartt by design

New Carhartt store opens in Sydney
There are a select few brands that take you through your toddler, teen and adult years. Even fewer that you can transition in easily from work to play.

But if you’re partial to solid design, and durable clothing mixed with street aesthetic, Carhartt is your label.

Founded by Hamilton Carhartt in 1889, with a heritage based in American workwear, the company made a name for itself in the construction of comfortable, resilient clothing for the active worker. Fast forward more than a century, and the Carhartt brand is still going strong, expanding to create apparel and accessories that cater to a younger generation, with a cult following spanning artists, musicians, and extreme sports.

As of this week, the flagship Carhartt store in Darlinghurst has a younger sibling. A second store, in the heart of the city at The Galeries Victoria.

Think men’s and women’s canvas pants, jackets, hoodies, tees and denim, made with a functional aesthetic in mind. The new store stocks an even larger range of Carhartt, and for the first time in Australia, a collection of kids gear including baby dungarees.
