The Champagne Season

champagneheroBirthdays, weddings, girls nights, Friday nights – is there ever a bad time to pop open a bottle of bubbles? Spring is here and with it comes champagne.

Bullion Bar

Could there be a better place to sip on some liquid gold than The Mint? The brand new Veuve Clicquot Champagne pop-up bar brings a lit bit of extra sparkle to this historic venue. Expect bubbles by the glass or bottle, beer for the boys and wine too. The bar will stay open over summer, but will switch to different Champagne brands – keep an eye out for Moet & Chandon taking over on 13th November.

Veuve Clicquot Air Stream

This is definitely one trailer that’s far from trashy. Expect to see plenty of the signature tangerine at the Veuve Clicquot Airstream, a luxe caravan bringing the champagne to you this summer. Making its debut at the Paspaley Polo in the City this November, you’ll see the Air Stream at events around Sydney and Melbourne.

The Season

Yes that’s right, it’s champagne season and at The Langham Sydney, “The Season” is marked by a whole lot of Laurent-Perrier. Champagne Tiffin Tea is the perfect a Marie Antoinette moment – champagne, pastries and cakes in the lush Langham. If that isn’t decadent enough, scoff freshly shucked oysters and champagne in the Globe Bar or book in for the full on five course degustation. The Langham, Sydney (02) 9256 2222

G.H Mumm hits the Birdcage

Chris Hemsworth seemed to have a great time spraying champagne bottles around in Rush – we’ve all seen G.H Mumm’s magnum bottles at the Formula One –  but why should racing car drivers get all the fun? This year G.H Mumm is the Official Champagne of the 2013 Melbourne Cup Carnival and the La Maison G.H Mumm will be front and centre in the Birdcage. Moulin Rouge Dancers, celeb model Pia Miller and Marque Chef Mark Best will add a bit of flavour, with of course, plenty of bottles of G.H Mumm to go around. 10,000 bottles to be exact.
