The scoop on Ben and Jerry

Chunky Monkey and other such ice cream
It’s going to be insane; insanely swirly, chunky, and oh-so decadent.  Vermont ice cream gurus, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield (aka Ben & Jerry’s) are bringing their hunk filled and chilled sensations Down Under.

It means your freezer, and tastebuds will never be quite the same. The sweet catalyst takes place on Saturday 28 November, when you (and every ice cream lover able to make it to Manly) can try 18 Ben & Jerry’s flavours for free.

During a 12 hour scoop-a-thon be tempted with flavours like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: Vanilla Ice Cream with Chunks of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chunky Monkey: Banana Ice Cream with Fudge Chunks and Walnuts. There’s the eternal favourite Cherry Garcia: Cherry Ice Cream with Cherries & Dark Chocolatey Chunks, and eccentric Phish Food: Chocolate Ice Cream with Gooey Marshmallow, Caramel Swirls and Chocolately Fish.  Flavour #18 remains to be given an Aussie ‘twang’ in a flavour naming contest (winner takes a year’s supply of Ben & Jerry’s), but expect malt ice cream with globs of peanut butter cookie dough and a peanut butter swirl.

If you can’t wait till the grand opening of the Manly Scoop Shop, pick up a tub at the deli or try to convince the Rolling Cone (Ben & Jerry’s combi van) to make a stop-over your way.

Sweet.
