Sunset Sessions at Cruise Bar are your chance to party on the VIP rooftop

Ever tried to crack the velvet rope at a hot venue? The rooftop at Cruise Bar has been an exclusive, VIP-only entry, only available for private bookings domain for ages. But for a limited time during summer you too can be a VIP.

The rooftop is a stunner, simply take the escalators to the stars get ready to take in all of Sydney’s’ icons. The Opera House, the city skyscrapers, the heritage Rocks and our beloved coathanger, the Harbour Bridge – it’s a billion dollar view and it’s yours for free for a limited time. The rooftop is decked out with astroturf, blue sun umbrellas, oh-so-Mediterranean blue and white deck chairs and plenty of comfy sofas, so lots of spots for a session with the squad while DJs mix tropical deep house.

Chef Patrick Haney is keeping it casual with a Med-inspired menu that goes well alongside Canadian Club cocktails. Start with a pre dinner cocktail, the Pina Canadian is fresh and summery, limey and softly sweet. On a hot evening an Italian Prosecco goes down extremely well with perfectly crispy, melt in your mouth salt n pepper squid. It’s a great dish to share, as are the cauliflower arancini with arrabiata dipping sauce. For a more substantial meal that will keep you going all night, the insta-worthy crumbed chicken burger with peri-peri on a black charcoal bun is everything you need from a chicken burger, a bit fried, a bit spicy plus fries, and a Peroni.

Pay attention to who’s behind the decks, the breezy beats change each night, close your eyes and it feels like a poolside Ibiza chill out session. When the temps cool a little, the light fades and the city lights start to sparkle,  it’s a total Sydney moment.

Sunset Socials delivers on a little exclusivity without the pretentiousness. Enjoy a red-carpet moment just don’t forget oversized sunnies, heels and your entourage, limited to those in the know!
