sterling & hyde

Do you believe there’s only one out there for you? Or perhaps you like to string a few along — one to impress your colleagues and one for after hours?

Whatever your relationship with handbags, sterling & hyde will enrich it. Particularly if you like them European.

The Italian leather brainchild of Victoria’s Amy Richards, sterling & hyde was born in the picturesque township of Sorrento. But for those outside of the Mornington Peninsula, Richards has just now launched a store in cyberspace.

On the virtual shelves you’ll find buttery arm candy in the form of clutches-come-handbags, nonchalantly elegant cross-body shapes and functional shoulder bags tricked out in tough hardware and soft tassles, with prices ranging from $145 to $260. Unfortunately you can’t feel the Italian leather and top grain cowhide, but in this case it’s safe to judge on appearances.

Accessorise your new accessory with sterling & hyde’s du jour collection of jewellery. And if you still can’t find exactly what you’re after, bring it into being yourself with the customisation service. Currently there’s 16 handbag styles to choose from, and you get to pick your leather (suede, sheepskin, cowhide), colour and hardware combination.

Sometimes it pays to mess with a good thing.
