Sous le Soleil cafe and shop

Not that an annual trip to Paris to buy antiques and artwork, home wares, jewellery, women’s and children’s wear is an unpleasant undertaking, but we’ve found the ladies that have to do it.

Their once a year sojourn to some of the best suppliers in Paris means you can find divine and delectable things at Sous le Soleil in the suburb of St Ives and more recently, Roseville. Ananda Noakesmith and Elodie Cromback, with their respective husbands Andrew and Olivier are the Australian and French couples behind the picturesque shop and cafe concept.

Expect European and limited edition stock such as Astier de Villatte ceramics, John Derian decoupage glass designs and vibrant coloured Jean Vier coated tablecloths.

Purely vegetal wax candles from Carrière Frères Industrie (master crafters of wax from the XVIII Century and suppliers to the Basilique Du Sacre Coeur), and Marius Fabre cosmebio and organic Olivia Bio products (omega 6 packed moisturising oils, lip balms soaps and creams).

Exclusive to Australia Claire de Divonne jewellery and their eponymous label leather accessories including one perfect duck egg blue travel bag.

The name ‘Sous le Soleil’ means ‘Under the Sun’, and it’s where you should be in the Sous le Soleil Cafe after wandering through the store. An ideal locale to enjoy a Parisian inspired lunch, or a brioche and coffee, c’est l’amour at first sight.
