Once upon a time

Once upon a time there was a young artist named Renee who felt strongly disheartened by the “Sydney Art Scene”.

She met Angela D’Alton, founder of Leeloo.com.au, an established online boutique filled with emerging artists’ wares.

They decided to put on their very own exhibition, just the way they wanted to do it.

Embarking on this valiant mission they trawled through over 100 art applications.  Defying headaches and obstacles along the way. The Once Upon exhibition was born.

38 Australian artists were tasked with a fairytale to interpret, and asked to create four original and new artworks to exhibit.

frankie featured artists such as Catherine Campbell and Sarah McNeil answered the call. Along with community favourites Caitlin Shearer and Kareem Rizk, Leeloo artists Bec Winnel and Ali J and a band of talented newcomers working in various media.

To appease the beauty seekers, artworks were made available for sale. From Friday to Sunday Leeloo also hosted a “pop-up store”. From all over the land, they came to find one of a kind fashion, accessories, and a treasure trove of design decor.

True to form, all live happily after.
