Life on top

A Hyde Park tribute by Pete Longworth
After nine weeks spent submerged and snapping the life, flora and fauna at Hyde Park, Pete Longworth has a few tales to tell. Ask about his altercations with alleged drunk and disorderlies, being suspected by Police to be a suicide jumper and impromptu busking episodes.

Or just marvel at the many shades of Hyde Park and its vibrant surroundings captured in his debut solo exhibition – Life On Top Of Hyde Park.  From the place where you commute, picnic, romance and run. Play chess, observe nature, pray and pay respects.

A double finalist in the 2006 Head On competition and recipient of the Greenpeace photographic prize 2007, Pete puts on a stunning collection of photographic images.

You can view the exhibition within The Residence’s display suite 17 stories directly above Hyde Park. With a near 380 degree view from our city centre, this is a breathtaking view of what it’s like at the top.
