Future Star

They say that when one star fades another is born, that’s true of Sydney’s Star City. In a few months the face of Australian entertainment and dining is set to change with an $860m facelift which would make even Shane Warne jealous.

In the most lavish baby shower ever, the red carpet was rolled out in anticipation of the newest restaurant constellation to hit Sydney.  What a line up: legendary David Chang from Momofuko opens his first restaurant outside of New York, Chase Kojima from Nobu along with Australian Chef greats Adriano Zumbo, Peter Kuruvita, Stefano Manfredi and Teage Ezard from Melbourne’s Ginger boy are set to transform the Casino into ‘The Star’.

If there was ever a winning formula for a new born this is it. The ingredients have been sourced to perfection and stirred together with love and care. Star gazers should look out for the cosmological event of the year with restaurant launches commencing from September.

Whether The Star’s gravitational pull will be enough to attract international high rollers and devotees of Melbourne’s Crown into its orbit, time will tell. One thing’s for sure, this shooting star is aiming for the top.
