Disband

Ah, break ups.  It can mean so many things (even though one may not see the need, logic or damn point for such a calamity at the time).

Inspired by the 40th anniversary since the break-up of The Beatles, creative online hub Leeloo is launching its second* curated exhibition Disband, and exploring the end of relationships, be they romantic or otherwise.

Expect an immersive installation where you’re invited to tour the apartment of a couple undergoing such a split, and indulge in a little voyeurism as you admire and interpret featured works on the walls of their living space.

There’ll be original pieces by Australian artists Kelly Smith, Ben Zen, Laura McKellar and Elisa Mazzone. Whimsical and detailed drawings by Natalie Perkins, new work by Jordan Clarke, Courtney Brims, Jessica Hyde and more.

Artworks will be available for sale, and you’ll be able to pick up some one-of-a-kind goodies at the small Leeloo pop-up store from the Friday to Sunday.

Breaking up is hard to do, but this exhibition makes it so much easier.
