Turning 150 is definitely no mean feat, and for Melbourne’s National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) this coming of age is being marked in true style with esteemed jeweller, Bulgari playing host to the soiree of soirees.

Champagne, cocktails and canapés aside, this part-ay isn’t all frolicsome. The aim of this gala is to raise $60,000 for a highly collectable rare Mariano Fortuny Coat c.1930.

Long before the McQueens, Gallianos and Gaultiers, this Venetian artist (who could call Isadora Duncan and Peggy Guggenheim his patrons) eschewed the fashion grain, instead carving out his own creations and inventing new textile techniques.

So help attain Mariano’s work, get a world-first glimpse of Bulgari’s new Mediterranean Eden Jewellery Collection and go in the lottery for the iconic Bulgari Spiga white gold and diamond (17 carats) necklace and bracelet (ah-hem valued at $180,000+).
